Unresolved trauma can be triggered even when there is no real threat, making emotional regulation more challenging as well as negatively affecting your ability to relate to yourself and others. ACCELERATED RESOLUTION THERAPY APPROACH

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a brain-based, brief, and directive approach to psychotherapy that helps process traumatic experiences and reduce distressing emotional symptoms. ART is considered a form of somatic therapy, as it works with the body and nervous system to promote emotional healing. Through eye movements and visualization, ART changes how memories are stored in the brain, allowing distressing images and sensations to lose their emotional intensity. During an ART session, I will guide you in accessing traumatic memories without needing to share painful details, and we will work to reduce the associated emotional distress. ART taps into the brain’s natural ability to heal, using a specific protocol to replace distressing images or sensations with more adaptive, calming alternatives.

When working with relationships, whether couples, co-parents, or families, I can use ART to support each participant in resolving deeper issues that contribute to relational distress. If you are ready to look inward, we will use ART to process the triggers that keep you stuck in negative cycles and make room for calmer interactions.
