TRAUMA-INFORMED APPROACH TO RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
My therapeutic approach relies on evidence-based methods and blends trauma-informed care with attachment principles to promote emotional healing and relational growth. I provide a safe, supportive environment while offering gentle challenge and direct feedback to encourage insight and personal development. Sessions are tailored to the needs of each relationship and individual, with options for in-person therapy in Orange County or virtual sessions throughout California.
I integrate multiple therapeutic models to address both relational patterns and the underlying emotional and nervous system factors that often contribute to distress. This flexible framework helps clients regulate emotions, gain self-awareness, and make meaningful changes in both individual and relationship dynamics.
Specializing in couples therapy with trauma-focused support, I combine relational and trauma-resolution strategies to help partners break negative cycles, reduce reactivity, and strengthen emotional connection. The approach also supports focused individual work when needed, ensuring unresolved trauma or past experiences do not continue to interfere with present-day relationships.
CORE THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES THAT INFORM MY WORK
Gottman Method

Drawing from decades of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this approach identifies interactions that may be particularly harmful to romantic connections. Gottman-informed couples therapy examines patterns that either support or hurt closeness in order to work toward lasting relationship success. As a Gottman therapist, I will help you understand what separates, in the words of John Gottman, relationship “masters” from relationship “disasters,” and explore dynamics that either strengthen or weaken your bond. Emotionally Focused Therapy

EFT helps partners slow down, identify negative interaction loops that keep them stuck, and understand the underlying emotional needs driving recurring, unhelpful cycles. Escalating arguments, withdrawal after conflict, and feeling unseen by a partner are common signs of these dynamics. As an EFT therapist, I will create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where valid but ineffective responses are identified, softened, and gradually replaced with more adaptive strategies. This work creates corrective emotional experiences between partners and promotes greater relational harmony. If interested, learn more about Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy here.
Relational Life Therapy

RLT provides direct, action-oriented guidance to challenge and overcome interactions that are most damaging to loving relationships. The RLT framework helps uncover rigid dynamics that interfere with intimacy, encourages personal responsibility, and promotes healthier relational functioning. As an RLT therapist, I will take an active role and show you a practical path toward an improved connection to yourself and your partner. If interested, learn more about Relational Life Therapy here.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy

ART is a trauma-informed, brain-based, somatic approach that uses specific protocols to reduce emotional triggers and restore internal stability. ART helps heal past trauma and unresolved experiences that fuel overreactions, shutdown, or disconnection, allowing for greater personal balance, which in turn allows for more effective relational interactions. As an ART therapist, I aim to support deep healing that improves personal well-being and removes emotional barriers to successful partnerships. This approach complements relationship counseling efforts by fostering both personal and relational health. ART can also be used as a stand-alone service for trauma, phobias, or distressing memories, often providing powerful relief within just one to five sessions.
